February Forecast

February is a month of cold and many people say it is the hardest month as an educator.  We just had a long break way back in December, and many people would like spring to be here already.  It also is a month of chocolate and roses which can always be beneficial to people and lift their spirits.  Growing up on our family ranch, I was constantly busy during these winter months helping my dad with calving season.  Weekends and many nights after school were always filled with calving, feeding and tagging.  This taught me many different lessons and instilled in me a work ethic as well.  I couldn’t have grown up in a better place, and I cherish the memories that I made as child on a ranch.  I encourage you to do the same, because you will never be this age again.
We had a schedule full of events throughout the month of January one of the highlights was our  K-5 Trojan Rally.  Trojan Ticket winners were announced and half of them were recognized at the game on the 29th.  The other half chose to attend the pizza party that Mrs. Kuhlman organizes.  We also had the PTSA recognize the Reflections contest winners.  It is always good to see students performing above the line with contests such as Reflections.  A huge thank you to the PTSA for all of the hard work, time, effort and donations that provide for the students of Whitehall School.  We finished off the rally with a little game that seemed to draw laughs out of many of the audience members.
In honor of Valentine’s Day I will leave you with a quote:
“Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward in the same direction.”
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery
