Philosophy of Education

It is my goal to provide a healthy, safe and stimulating learning environment in my classroom.  I believe that through modeling, I can show my students what is expected of them, as well as teach them to be responsible and caring individuals. It is my desire to motivate each student to reach his or her full potential by continually assessing and adjusting my teaching skills to meet the needs of each individual in my classroom. I try to set aside time each day to work one-on-one and in small groups with students. This helps me to individualize my instruction. All students learn in their own unique way, and by integrating music and hands-on projects into my lessons it allows the students to be creative and have meaningful learning experiences.
