- Make decisions and policies that focus on long-term solutions.
- Provide clear direction to the superintendent.
- Operate as a team and support decisions as a whole.
- Keep the public informed and educated on school matters on a continuous basis.
- Respect the right of privacy and confidentiality.
- Carry out the affairs of the district in the most prudent and cost-effective manner.
- Provide a school environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
- Encourage attendance at professional development activities.
- Strive for academic excellence at all levels of education.
- Operate on an informed and ethical basis.
